La Petite Ecole - Calendar 2007-2008
August 29 (Wednesday): Open House and Family Informational Meeting from 4 – 6 pm Students: Visit your classroom and meet your teacher(s). Parents: Attend an informational meeting (required) from 5 – 6 pm (child care provided)
September 4 (Tuesday): 1st day of school.
September 29 (Saturday): School Picnic, 5 pm Please, bring a dish to share and get to know the other La Petite Ecole families.
October 5 (Friday): School closed (As are the Columbia Public Schools) Teacher Work Day
November 2 (Friday): School closed (As are the Columbia Public Schools) Teacher Work Day
November 16 (Friday): Parent-Teacher Conferences – No school (child care available while parents are meeting with the teacher)
November 21-23: Thanksgiving Break - School closed
December 21 – January 4: Winter Break - School closed (Note: Different from C.P.S.)
January 7 (Monday): School resumes
January 18 (Friday): School closed (As are the Columbia Public Schools) Teacher Work Day
January 21 (Monday): Martin Luther King Day - School closed
February 2 (Saturday): International Dinner, 5 pm - Please, bring a dish to share.
February 18 (Monday): Presidents’ Day - School closed
February 29 (Friday): Parent-Teacher Conferences – No school (child care available while parents are meeting with the teacher)
March 7 (Friday): 2007 Conference on the Young Years School closed
March 24-28: Spring Break – School closed
May 2 (Friday): School closed
May 17 (Saturday): School Picnic/Graduation, 11am
May 23 (Friday): Last day of school
